Vendor Instructions for Invoicing Clarivate Analytics

We are pleased to announce that the IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters has been sold to private equity firms, Onex Corporation and Baring Private Equity Asia. Effective October 3, 2016, our new independent and global company began conducting business as Clarivate Analytics. Effective immediately, your invoices as they relate to the Clarivate business, should be issued to the correct Clarivate legal entity and submission preference in accordance with the guidance provided below.

Purchase Orders and Invoicing

All vendor spend now requires a Purchase Order (PO), and Clarivate now uses Ariba to send POs to vendors. If you are already a member of the Ariba network, you can manage Clarivate POs on your Ariba dashboard.

If you are not a member of the Ariba network, you will receive an email when Clarivate issues a PO to you. You will need to retain this email as it will contain specific invoicing instructions to make sure you get paid in a timely manner. Guidance on submitting PO related invoices is outlined below.

Invoicing Instructions

PO-related invoices are to be submitted electronically using your Ariba dashboard.

If you are not an Ariba network member, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Receive email once a PO is issued to you, and retain for future invoicing
  2. Click “Create Invoice” button in the body of the email
  3. Follow prompts and complete all required information using web form
  4. Submit invoice

Note, if you are invoicing a legal entity in Argentina, Austria, China, India, Japan, Kenya, Poland, Russia, or Taiwan; please submit your invoice in hardcopy to the bill-to address shown in the table below.

Non-PO Invoicing Instructions

Clarivate has transitioned to a “no PO, no pay” policy. However, we recognize there are instances where a non-PO related invoice may be necessary. Such invoices should be few and far between, but must be submitted according to the Preferred Invoice Submission Method in the table below.

If your invoice relates to a Clarivate legal entity in Argentina, Austria, China, India, Japan, Kenya, Poland, Russia, or Taiwan; you must submit your invoice in hardcopy.
