Annette Thomas, CEO, Scientific and Academic Research, Clarivate Analytics

Annette Thomas, previously appointed to the Clarivate board, will join the company in September as Chief Executive Officer of its Scientific and Academic Research division, well-known for its industry-leading Web of Science platform. She brings nearly 25 years of experience to this role including Managing Director of Nature Publishing Group, Chief Executive Officer of Macmillan Science and Education and most recently Chief Scientific Officer and Global Head of Springer Nature's research business. She also serves as a Trustee and board member of The Yale Corporation, the governing board and policy-making body for Yale University.

Andrew Preston, Managing Director, Publons

Andrew Preston is the co-founder and Managing Director of Publons. He was an active researcher in physics, first as a PhD student at Victoria University of Wellington, then as postdoctoral researcher at Boston University. He founded Publons with a mission to speed up research by improving peer review. Publons recognises reviewers for their work and -- with more than 190,000 researchers and over 1,500 partner journals -- is the world’s largest peer review platform.
